The Unfurling

Policies &
Terms.

This space is built on trust, safety and clear communication. Please take a moment to read through these terms before booking your session.

Booking Terms

Appointments

All sessions are by appointment only. Please arrive on time to allow the full session to be honoured. Late arrival may reduce session time in order to respect subsequent bookings, with the full session fee still applicable.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Bookings can be rescheduled online at any time using the link in your confirmation text or email from our scheduling software. Rescheduling is never a problem with enough notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time will result in the loss of your deposit. Failure to attend without notice will require full payment of the session fee.

If you are unwell, please contact us as soon as possible. Where possible, rescheduling will be accommodated with compassion.

Payment

All online bookings require a deposit at the time of booking to secure your appointment, with the remaining balance due in full at the beginning of your session — this allows the session to close gently, without payment interrupting that time. Accepted methods include bank transfer, cash, and card. Bank transfers must be completed in advance of your session to allow time for clearance.

Scope of Practice

The Unfurling provides a professional, therapeutic service grounded in safety, respect, and clear boundaries. Sessions are experiential and responsive, they do not diagnose, treat, or claim to fix medical or psychological conditions, and are not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Each offering has a clearly defined scope. Any touch that falls outside what has been explicitly discussed and agreed upon is outside this scope and will not occur.

Please review the full description and FAQs for your chosen offering before booking: Hawaiian Style Bodywork, Devotional Tantra Sessions, Sacred Sensual Bodywork, or Embodied Sexological Education.

Normal Responses to Touch

Normal, involuntary biological responses to touch may occur during a session and are not judged. The work is held with professionalism and care regardless of any physical response.

One Practice. Distinct Offerings. Clear Boundaries.

The Unfurling offers a range of bodywork and somatic experiences, from therapeutic, non-intimate bodywork to sensual, intimate and pleasure-focused exploration. Some offerings, including Curated Bodywork, may involve interactive or two-way touch.

Each offering has its own scope, boundaries, consent agreements and applicable professional or legal standards:

Consent to one offering never implies consent to another. Each experience is separately discussed, agreed upon and booked, with clear boundaries and ongoing consent. A different offering is never introduced or changed during a session.

This information is shared openly so each client understands the range of experiences available at The Unfurling, without any expectation to explore beyond the offering explicitly chosen.

Health & Medical Disclosure

Clients are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy, skin conditions, or medications prior to their session. This information allows the session to be adapted appropriately and safely.

Some conditions may mean that certain offerings are not suitable, or that modifications are required. Sessions may be declined where necessary for your safety or wellbeing.

All health information is treated with complete confidentiality and used only for the purpose of providing safe and appropriate bodywork.

Privacy Policy

Information Collected

The Unfurling collects personal information including your name, contact details, and health information provided before or during sessions. This information is collected only for the purpose of providing safe, appropriate and personalised bodywork services.

How Information Is Used

Your information is used to:

Confidentiality

All personal information shared before, during, or after a session is treated with respect and strict confidentiality. Information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law, or as described below for student-practice sessions.

Student-Practice Sessions (Sexological Bodywork)

While I complete my Sexological Bodywork certification with the Institute of Somatic Sexology, de-identified session notes and outcomes are discussed with my supervisor. This supports learning and care for both client and practitioner, and helps ensure sessions remain safe, ethical and within my training scope.

De-identified means your name, contact details and anything else that could reasonably identify you are removed before anything is discussed. No photos, audio or video recordings are made.

We'll talk about this before your first session, including the limits of confidentiality, and you're welcome to ask questions about how your information is used at any time.

Data Storage

Personal information is stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us directly.

Cookies & Website Data

This website may use cookies to improve your browsing experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through cookies without your explicit consent.

Concerns & Complaints

At The Unfurling, your safety, dignity, autonomy and wellbeing are central to my practice.

I am committed to providing a respectful, ethical and consent-led environment where your boundaries and choices are honoured.

If you have concerns about your experience, you are welcome to contact me directly so we can discuss them.

However, you are not required to raise concerns with me if doing so feels uncomfortable or inappropriate.

By booking a session with The Unfurling, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms form the basis of the service relationship between you and your practitioner.

Nature of Services

The services offered by The Unfurling are for the purpose of relaxation, nervous system regulation, embodiment, and personal exploration. They are not medical, psychological, or remedial services. Individual experiences may vary.

Wellbeing & Aftercare

Sessions at The Unfurling can be physical, emotional and energetic experiences. It is recommended that you allow time after your session for rest, hydration and gentle integration. The practitioner is not responsible for how you choose to spend your time following a session.

Inclusive Practice

The Unfurling warmly welcomes and affirms people of all genders, sexualities, bodies, and identities. This is a space grounded in care, dignity, and belonging. Discriminatory behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in the session ending immediately.

All sessions are for clients aged 18 years and over, unless explicitly discussed and agreed in advance for appropriate session types. Devotional Tantra, Sacred Sensual, Embodied Sexological Education and all other intimate or pleasure-based sessions are strictly for clients aged 18 and over, without exception. Proof of age may be requested.

Substance-Free Sessions

Please arrive free from alcohol and recreational drugs. Sessions cannot proceed if a client appears to be under the influence, as informed consent requires a clear and present mind. This is for your safety and the integrity of the work.

Recording & Photography

Sessions may not be recorded, photographed, or filmed in any form without the explicit prior consent of both parties. This protects the privacy and safety of everyone involved.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of The Unfurling's services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
